One Sheet Wonder and Basic Stamp Masking Techniques

In last night’s One Sheet Wonder class I showed some basic stamp masking techniques using the Frosted Forest Bundle and the Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Paper pack.   You may be wondering where I got these products from as they are not in the Stampin’ Up! catalogs.  Both of these products are Online Exclusive products, so you will only find them in my Online Store.

The Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Paper pack is part of my September Stamp Camp at Home Card Club Kit.  This kit will make its debut on Monday, September 2nd, so make sure to stop back here on Monday to check it out.  What I love about this paper pack is that it covers the upcoming special occasions all the way to Valentine’s Day!  You won’t want to miss September’s blog post as I will be covering ALL the occasions and club members will get the PDF files, just a perk for being a club member.  I also want to note that in last night’s class I said the Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots would be in the club kit; that was incorrect, the Pecan Pie and Clear Ribboned Adhesive-backed Dots will be in the club kit.

Now Let’s Check Out Those Basic Stamp Masking Techniques One Sheet Wonder Cards:

This was the first card in last night’s class.  The masking portion on this card comes in to play with the tree.  It uses the Frosted Forest bundle Mask, and, in the video, I demonstrated how I use the mask and my tips for using them.  This is the perfect card for really any occasion, and someone suggested that these were great masculine cards, and I must agree.

If you missed last night’s class, you will find the video link down below in this blog post.  I love to use those tiny paper pieces as faux strips.  This card might look like the designer series paper runs the full width of the card front, but it does not.  This is a great way to use up little pieces of designer series paper.

This was the second card created last night and it has a couple of basic stamp masking techniques used on it.  If you missed it you most definitely will want to check out the video.  I demonstrated how to use a shape as a mask in two different ways.  The shape I used on these cards is from the Nested Essentials die cuts.  The die for the sentiment is from the Iconic Imagery bundle and the sentiment is from the Frosted Forest stamp set.

Now if you wanted to give this card a little bit different look you could sponge or blend the Balmy Blue ink color inside the Nested Essentials die cut piece and it would give this card a whole different look and feel.  I kept mine monochromatic, but it would give it a scenic look if you used the Balmy Blue ink instead of the Old Olive ink.  Give it a try and see which way you like it best.

The sentiment on this card is different than the Thank You I used in the video; this was my sample card when I was designing the cards.  I guess it got mixed up when I was taking the photos, this just goes to show you that you can use any sentiment that you have on hand.  This celebrate sentiment is from the Unbounded Love Bundle.

The final card of the night is this fun fold card with the center missing.  The Nested Essentials die cut piece is what holds the top and the bottom of the card together, sort of a bridge between them.  This is another tree mask that is a part of the Frosted Forest bundle.  I’ve used this tree mask to create a Christmas card, if you missed that post you can find it HERE.

Here is a side view so you can see what I’m referring to, when I say a bridge.

How fun is that?  I’ve done this type of card before, and it never gets old.  The wording and placement of your inside writing or stamping must be a little strategic for this type of card but it is definitely a stunner.  You could also add a piece of Very Vanilla to the backside of the card and do your writing and stamping on that, so the inside stays crisp and clean; the choice is yours.

There you have it three fabulous Frosted Forest one sheet wonder cards featuring the Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Paper.
