Lately I’ve been asked, “How do you come up with your One Sheet Wonder cards every week”? Well it generally starts with a card idea and then it is just a matter of what to do with the left over paper pieces. Last week it was the faux envelope card that sparked my idea. It started with the Countryside Inn paper and then I pulled out the Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper and created my prototype for my Perennial Lavender cards that I showcased on Friday. NOTE: The Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper is SOLD OUT and no longer available.
If you have the Let’s Go Fishing paper pack this one sheet wonder is great for creating a pile of cards all in one sitting. I made all mine cards birthday cards, but you can easily make them for a variety of occasions.
Let’s Dive in to These One Sheet Wonder Cards
These are the Faux Envelope cards, super simple to make and when you have awesome paper to work with all you need is just a simple sentiment piece. This birthday wishes sentiment is from the upcoming new Simply Said stamp set found on page 19 of the new catalog.
There were no scraps left behind with this One Sheet Wonder, even the diagonal pieces cut off to create the faux envelope were used on the following two birthday cards.
This long-scripted sentiment stamp set is called Sweetly Scripted and is only available online. You will not find it in any of the Stampin’ Up! publications. This means you are in luck because you can purchase it now!
The final 3 pieces and a scrap created the last 3 cards. For I used 2 of the pieces on a simple mat and adhered them to the card fronts. Super simple and just add a sentiment and your cards are completed. I used a circle punch and the retiring Decorative Circle punch (SOLD OUT) to punch out my sentiment pieces for all the cards.
Ending the One Sheet Wonder Birthday Cards with a Bang!
The final card is a fun fold card using all the left-over pieces. It has the same size piece on the front and a single strip that was left-over was cut into 3 equal pieces making up the side panel.
All the cards were blinged out with the beautiful 2023-2025 In Color Dots; which are on the retired list and on Sale!
