One Sheet Wonder Cards For Dad With Let’s Go Fishing

let's go fishing one sheet wonder cards for father's day

Today I have the Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper One Sheet Wonder Cards from last night’s video.  Oh my Gosh, what a night.  My husband worked with my new camera for 3 days trying to get it working with the software I use and the other camera I use, he wasn’t a very happy camper the last 3 days.  Yesterday he said I think it is going to work give it a try.  So I created the video showing how to cut up the designer series paper and the card bases and created all 3 of the cards shown.  Then last night it went live at 8PM EST on my YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp”.  Well just after the 2nd card I lost my audio, nothing just my mouth moving.  UGH!  Now what?  I’m not at home, call Bill and tell him I lost audio in the video and we proceed to try and figure out a plan on how I can add a voice over to the end of the video. so you at least have all the measurements.  Well 2 hours later I have a voice over added to the video; I know it isn’t the best but it is the best I could do from where I am at.  It took all night to upload it to YouTube again and it is up and running this morning.  So I guess what I’m saying is the video is available and I’ll post it below in this blog post.  Please ignore my picture in the upper left-hand corner because it isn’t going to match what I’m saying after I lost the audio.  Creating these videos or even going live for that matter isn’t as easy as it seems, there is a lot of technical things that have to align for it to go off without a hitch.  Thankfully my husband is computer savvy so I leave that stuff up to him.  We will get things figured out and hopefully back to normal soon; in the mean time; please be patient and nice in your responses.

Now that I’ve explained the not so great video let’s take a deeper look at each of these One Sheet Wonder Fun Fold Cards

The first card I created with this vertical Flip Up Flip Out card.  I’ve created this type of card before in a video but never in a One Sheet Wonder aspect.  So I probably should start with cutting up your Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper.   Begin by cutting your 12″  x 12″ piece in 3 strips of 4″ X 12″.    For this first card you will then cut the first 4″ X 12″ piece into the following pieces: 4″ X 5 1/4″, 4″ X 5 1/4″ (cut this piece at 1 7/8″ X 5 1/4″, 1 7/8″ X 5 1/4″) leaving you with an end piece that is 1 1/2″ x 4″, use this for a gift card holder pocket or cut apart and use the strips to decorate the inside Very Vanilla piece.

Now for the card base:

Take the 8 1/2″ X 11″ Pecan Pie cardstock and place it in your trimmer/scorer at 5 1/2″ and score.
Turn it and line it up at 2 1/8″ and score, line it up at 6 5/8″  and score; now cut on those score lines from the top to the 5 1/2″ score line turn and cut out those 2 outside sections from the top of your cardstock.

Second Flip Up Flip Out Fun Fold Card Horizontal:

For this horizontal Flip Up Flip Out card you will cut the second piece of the 4″ X 12″ Let’s Go Fishing designer series paper as follows:  4″ X 5 1/4″, 2 1/2″ X 4″, 2 1/2″ X 4″ and the remaining piece in half.

Now for the card base:

Take the 8 1/2″ X 11″ Pecan Pie cardstock and place it in your trimmer/scorer at 4 1/4″ and score.
Turn it and line it up at 2 3/4″ and score, line it up at 8 1/4″ and score; now cut on those score lines from the top to the 4 1/4″ score line turn and cut out those 2 outside sections from the top of your cardstock.

Card Three:

Card number 3 is more of a Pull Out card instead of a Flip Up Flip Out card but I thought it went well in this series.

For this Pull Out card you will cut the second piece of the 4″ X 12″ Let’s Go Fishing designer series paper as follows:  4″ X 5 1/4″, 3″ x 4″, 3″ X 4″, 3/4″ X 4″.

Now for the card base:

Take the 8 1/2″ X 11″ Pecan Pie cardstock and cut it 4 1/4″ X 11″; save the other half for another card.
Turn it and line it up at 2 1/8″ and score, line it up at 5 1/2″ and score
Turn it again and make a mark at the 2 1/8″ line, now cut from the mark you made at 2 1/8″ to the score line which is at 2 1/8″. Do this for both sides creating a point.

I hope that helps explain the cards and with the video you should be able to recreate them.  Like I said just don’t watch me in the corner and you should be fine.
