Quick Christmas Cards With Embossing Folders and Two Tone Cardstock

embossing techniques for Christmas cards

Running short on time for creating your Christmas cards this year? Check out today’s quick and easy embossing folder idea using the new Two Toned 12 X 12 Paper.  This paper is part of the new Scrapbooking line of products, which you will not find in the catalogs but in the Scrapbooking brochure.  If you haven’t seen the brochure you can find it in my right-hand side bar, just click on the photo to bring it up.

If you remember last week Thursday night, I showed how to use Designer Series Paper to achieve this similar look.  I used the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper to create a beautiful Snowy night sky.  If you missed that post you can find it HERE.

I’ve attached last week’s video to this blog post as well, you will find it below in this post.

This is the Two Toned Garden Green paper from the Reindeer Memories Two Toned cardstock pack.

Here are the details:

The Reindeer Memories 12″ x 12″ Two-Tone Cardstock is great for handmade cards and other paper crafts. It’s high quality, acid free, and lignin free, making it a favorite scrapbook paper, too.

This cardstock is two-tone meaning one side is the full-strength color and the other side is a lighter version of the color. The ultrasmooth surface makes it an ideal paper for stamping, giving you clean, crisp images.

You get 12 sheets: Early Espresso (2), Garden Green (2), Granny Apple Green (2), Pecan Pie (2), Real Red (4)

What makes this two toned paper so special is the fact that it has the white core center, so when you sand your raised embossed image it gives you that white core showing through.  I think it looks greet with the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder, giving it that snow effect on the tree branches.

The Peaceful Seasons dies are perfect for this card or for your scrapbook pages.  I love the double layer you get with these dies.
