Today is the Stampin’ Queens sketch challenge. Here is the sketch for this week:
When I looked at this sketch I thought about using the new Labels Collection Framelits dies from the upcoming new Occasions Mini. After looking thru my new stamp sets and deciding on which set I was going to use; I went with the Top Note die instead.
I wanted to give the new Scented Stampin’ Embossing Powders (#127034 Melon & #127035 Cherry $5.95)a try and the new Mouthwatering Stamp Set (#125675 $20.95 wood or #125677 $16.95 clear) is perfect for them. I really liked the smell of them as they were being heat embossed. I made the Real Red popsicle Cherry and the Lucky Limeade popsicle Melon. I stamped both popsicles on the top note die using Real Red, Lucky Limeade and Soft Suede markers. I then inked them again; stamped them on scrap paper and this time smooched the versamark ink over the top. I then added the scented embossing powders; heat set them and cut out the popsicles and popped them up on the top note using dimensionals.
Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Mouthwatering, Take it to Heart (#125520 $29.95 wood or #125522 $23.95 clear)
CS: Real Red, Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade Prints DSP, Whisper White
Inks: Real Red, Soft Suede, Lucky Limeade markers
Accessories: Heat tool, Melon and Cherry Scented Embossing powders, Lucky Limeade Ruffled ribbon, Top Note Die, Big Shot
