Stampin’ Up! In Color Club Cards Featuring Layers of Beauty

stampin up in color club cards for july 2024

These were my Stampin’ Up! In Color Club Cards that went out in this month’s club packets. Each month my In Color club subscribers receive 5 handmade cards one in each of the New In Colors.  So, that means at the end of the club they have received 25 handmade cards from me featuring the new colors.   For this year’s In Color club cards, I am featuring the Layers of Beauty Bundle each month.  I decided to feature just one bundle for the whole 5 months so that I can show them all the possibilities they have with just that one bundle.  I started the club with some basic techniques using the bundle and each month I’m stepping it up just a bit from the last month.

If you are new to Stampin’ Up! and do not know about the In Colors, let me explain and then I’ll show you these cards up close.  Each year Stampin’ Up! debuts 5 new In Colors to their color collection.  These new colors will be around for 2 years and then they are retired.  The colors are offered in the cardstock, ink pads, ink refills, designer series paper, ribbon, markers, gems, and Stampin’ Blends.  Occasionally they will bring back a retired color to the In Color collection or the main collection, so I like to hold on to my In Color supplies because you never know when or if they will be returning someday.

Stampin’ Up! In Color Club Cards:

Let’s look at each one of these beautiful cards and the colors.  This first one is my favorite color, and it is the new Summer Splash.  I am truly a pink girl, but I am really drawn to this coastal blue color.  I would say it is a mix between Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.

Each card was created the same except the colors were changed.  I stamped the flower image using the Summer Splash ink and then using the Blending Brush I colored in the flowers using the coordinating masks.  I only used the Summer Splash ink to get all 3 color layers of the flowers.  I lightly added the color first, then added a bit more and then the final mask I went dark.

My next favorite color is this Petunia Pop, which I think is a mix of pinks, mauve and maybe Fresh Freesia.   I’m not certain of the color combination but I think it is a beautiful color.  On each of the cards I used the In Color ribbon and the Shimmer gems for my accent pieces.

This is the Pretty in Pink In Color which was one of the core colors when I started with Stampin’ Up! years ago.  This was always a favorite of mine and I’m happy they have brought it back even if it is only for 2 years; but then again never say never, I can hope it will stick around.

You can see the In Color Glimmer paper I used behind the Designer Series Paper on this card, pretty well.  So, not only do the gems sparkle, but I added just a tiny strip of that beautiful glimmer paper to give my cards some add sparkle and shine.  You can never have too much bling, can you?

Next, we have the new Shy Shamrock In Color.  This is a beautiful green color which has a bit of that Bermuda Bay blue mixed in with green, I think.  Maybe a little deeper blue/green than Shaded Spruce.  When I see them on cards, I can tell the difference between the Summer Splash and Shy Shamrock but when they are laying out on my table I have to take a closer look.

Finally, we have the Peach Pie In Color.  This is lighter than Pumpkin Pie and makes a great addition to the orange spectrum.  I’m happy to have this color in the mix, as I think we were lacking in orange colors.  With Fall on the horizon, I can see this color being used a lot for leaves, pumpkins, flowers etc.

There are your 5 new In Colors for the 2024 – 2026 Stampin’ Up! offerings. I think a nice blend of softer colors and brighter colors, which coordinate very well together. This is one of the things I really like about Stampin’ Up! products, is that they coordinate all the Designer Series Papers, Ribbons, Gems, cardstocks, and inks, so you always know you will get a perfect match.
