Stampin’ Up! Letterpress

Friday, October 8, 2010

Last night I had my monthly downline meeting and I decided to try out the new Letterpress plates being sold in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  We were also having a Holiday Mini catalog swap so I thought I would use the Letterpress plates to create my swaps and also show my downline how to use them.   After playing with the plates and getting the hang of how to use them I created my swap card and I really like how it turned out:

What do you think?  This is the Trick or Treat Letterpress plate #120980 $7.95.  I used the Pumpkin Pie craft ink pad to brayer the ink onto the letterpress plate, ran it thru the Big Shot on Naturals White card stock, trimmed my image and mounted it onto black card stock.  The card base is black and I also added a piece of Pumpkin pie card stock that I ran thru the Big Shot on the impressions plate creating a diamond shaped inprint.  I also punched a couple of bats out using the new Bat punch and stuck them to my card front using mini glue dots.  I used the White gel pen to make little beady eyes.

If you would like to learn how to use these new Letterpress plates I would love to show you and your friends how to use them at your workshop.  Give me a call or email me and we’ll get your workshop date set up.

Stay tuned for more Mini catalog swap cards and more Letterpress ideas.

Have a Great Day!
Glenda
