Let’s Dive In
It’s One Sheet Wonder Thursday and I have the perfect layout for using just (1) sheet of 6 x 6 designer series paper. Grab your Inked & Tiled Bundle and the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper and lets get started!
First lets talk card bases and coordinating colors. I generally will draw my color choices from the designer paper. For this particular print I went with the Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry cardstock and the Calypso Coral ink. I mixed and matched these colors with the card bases as well as the card matts. I like to do this with my first few samples so I can get a feel as to which colors I like best with the prints. Some people prefer the Crushed Curry over the Calypso Coral and some the other way around. The choice is yours but this is a simple layout that you can use with any designer paper you have on hand.
For the first card I went with the Calypso Coral card base and the mattes are the Crushed Curry cardstock. I kept with the Calypso Coral ink for all 3 cards.
To add some dimension and interest I went with a piece of the Very Vanilla cardstock and I embossed it with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. If my background piece is Basic White or Very Vanilla I sometimes like to emboss it so it doesn’t appear too flat or plain.
The Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper is great with Very Vanilla or Basic White as each print has just a trace of either of these tones in it so you can decide which base color you prefer. Some of the prints like this one I think Very Vanilla goes better with.
For the second card I switched up my card base and went with the Crushed Curry and the mattes are the Calypso Coral. See what I mean by changing up the different base pieces to see which way you like best.
As far as the bling for these cards I used the Ombre Matte Decorative Dots and the Iridescent Pastel Gems; both of these packs have the Calypso Coral color in them. You could leave them off or even a nice pearl or rhinestone jewel would be pretty as well.
For the final card I went with all Calypso Coral cardstock and left off the Crushed Curry. What I should have done was create the first card with a blend of both the Calypso Coral and the Crushed Curry and for the last two cards created one with just the Crushed Curry and then like this one with just the Calypso Coral that would have been a better way to determine which coordinating color or colors I liked best together. You give it a try with just the Crushed Curry and let me know which is your preferred color combination with this print.
The Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper pack has a bunch of gorgeous prints that would work really well with this One Sheet Wonder technique. Which print in the pack will you try it with this same print or do you have a different choice in mind?

My customer appreciation gift for July is a mini tool caddy. This little tool caddy is so versatile you will definitely want to add it to your craft room. What will you put in your tool caddy? Make it a Watercolor caddy or maybe a caddy for all your miscellaneous crafting items. The choice is yours but I’m sure you’ll love it! Colors of the mini tool caddy will vary. Here are just a few of the tool caddy’s the 3D printer has been spitting out this week. Do you have one coming your way?
How do you receive this mini tool caddy?
Place a minimum $50.00 online order with me (before shipping and tax) and use this host code: Q9HARHDY
Just pay the Shipping
Once I have received your order I’ll send you a PayPal invoice for the shipping of the mini tool caddy. Depending on your area code the price will vary. I will send it in a padded envelope to the address used when you placed your order.
Why am I charging for shipping this time when last month I sent the mono glue holders for free?
– Trial and error on my part; if this is a business for me I need to make a profit on my sales and not give away everything.
– By sending you a PayPal invoice for the shipping I know for a fact that you wanted to receive the gift, if payment is not received in 2 days I’ll cancel the invoice and will know you wish not to receive the mini tool caddy.
– Not only will this help to insure me that you wanted the free gift but will help in keeping the minimum order amount at a lower price point.
Can I purchase a Mini Tool Caddy?
– I will not be selling any of my Mono Glue Holders, Large Tool Caddy’s or the Mini Tool Caddy’s. You can earn these for FREE with my Stamp Camp Rewards. See my Rewards page HERE.
