Fun and Easy Card Design Techniques Anyone Can Master

fun and easy card design techniques

This month during our Team Meeting, we created fun and easy card design techniques anyone can master.   This fun fold card looks technical but is surprisingly simple—and perfect for any skill level! France led the demonstration, and she did an amazing job walking us through it step-by-step.

Before each meeting, our team receives an email with the card measurements, a supply list, and a photo of the supplies prepped and ready to go. The fun twist? We don’t know what the final card will look like! Each person uses their own designer series paper and stamp sets, so every card turns out uniquely beautiful. The only thing that’s the same is the final fold design.

For my version, I used the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper—and I’m thrilled with how it turned out! I love seeing how different papers and stamps completely change the look and feel of the same fold. It’s inspiring every time.

Sneak Peek: The Beautiful Gallery DSP will be featured in next month’s Stamp Camp at Home Card Club Kit, so you just might see this very card again in one of my One Sheet Wonder classes!

Next month it is my turn to teach fun and easy card design techniques anyone can master; do you have a technique that you love?  I’d love to hear about it or see a photo.

Let’s take a closer look at today’s fun fold card:

Here’s what we provided to our team to prep for the project:

Basic Cardstock (coordinating with your DSP)

  • 5 ¾” x 4 ½” — score at ¾”, 1 ½”, 4 ¼”, and 5″

  • 11″ x 4 ¼” — score at 5 ½”

Designer Series Paper (DSP)

  • 4″ x 5 ¼”

  • 2 5/8″ X 2 7/8″

  • ¾” x 5 ½”

  • 4 pieces of 5/8″ X  2 7/8″

  • 2 pieces of 2 5/8″ X 5/8″

  • 8 pieces of 5/8″ X 5/8″

Don’t be intimidated by the measurements—it comes together quickly and fits perfectly in an A2 envelope. Once you’ve made it once, you’ll want to make a stack of them!

For my sentiment I used the Beautiful Motifs stamp set. I stamped my sentiment using this set and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes dies for a clean, polished look.

To finish off the design, I added a touch of texture and elegance using the Pressed Flower Motifs. These elements really pull everything together and give the card that “wow” factor without much effort.

Everything I used is part of the Beautiful Gallery Suite, which includes:

  • Basic Beige 3/8″ Ribbon

  • Beautiful Gallery 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper

  • Gallery Blooms Bundle

  • Beautiful Motifs Bundle

  • Damask Designs Embossing Folder

  • Pressed Flower Motifs
