Believe it or not but I paired the Gather Together Stamp Set/Bundle with the Geared Up Garage stamp set.  What do you think?

Each card is a bit different; can you tell?  Have you ever had one of those days where you just couldn’t decide on how to stamp or color the main image?  I’m referring to my Leaf on the card front.

First I stamped the leaf using Versamark ink directly onto a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  Then die cut it out using the coordinating die.

It’s pretty but I thought I could do better.  So the next time I stamped it on Whisper White card stock using Versamark ink and embossed in Silver.  Then I used the “cloud of smoke” image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set and inked it with the Coastal Cabana ink and stamp randomly on the embossed image.  Wiping off the excess ink.

This looks pretty as well but still not the look I was going for.  So for this last card I stamped the “cloud of smoke” image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White card stock using the Coastal Cabana ink; then I stamped the leaf image over the top with Versamark ink and embossed with Silver embossing powder.

This one I liked the best a bit more white showing and a bit of Coastal Cabana showing.  Which do you prefer?

I used the “cloud of smoke” image from the Geared Up Garage stamp set on my background piece of Whisper White using the Coastal Cabana ink but stamping off on my scrap paper before I stamped onto my card stock; giving it a little lighter look.

I then added some strips of Silver Foil to the edges and embossed the sentiment in Silver Embossing powder as well.

To finish off the card I added some Silver Metallic Pearls and tied a double bow using Dean’s Double Bow Maker for the bow on the Leaf.
