The Quiet Meadow Bundle from Stampin’ Up! is the perfect bundle for the Watercolor Wash Technique.
It’s Technique Tuesday and today I’m bringing back the oldie but goodie Watercolor Wash technique. This fun technique is done with the Ink Refills and the water painters. Keep reading this blog post to find out how to create this fun technique. You will find the step by step video below.
I’m loving the fun dies in this bundle and I’m sure you will too. These dies are perfect with this technique. You want to use something that will showcase the beautiful watercolor background but also add some dimension and a focal point to the card.
The Ink Refill colors that I used on this card are: Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, and Soft Suede. I love Blues and Browns together and I think this card is very striking.
This card is perfect for so many different occasions just change up the sentiment to whatever you need. The die cut piece I used for the sentiment is part of the Quiet Meadow bundle and will work with many different sentiments. It is the perfect size.
Yes, you will need to use the Watercolor card stock for this project. I also used the Very Vanilla card stock for the card base and the die cut as I think the watercolor card stock has a bit more of a vanilla look to it and I thought the Very Vanilla card stock blended with the Watercolor card stock much better. Add in the Balmy Blue card stock with a little bit of the Soft Suede card stock and you have the perfect blend of card stock colors to coordinate with the watercolor wash background.
