Yes, today I have another twist on my fun fold card from Monday. Each day I showed you a new designer series paper pack or print from the pack and a twist on a simple fun fold. Today’s cards have the (arm) like yesterdays but larger pieces to accommodate sentiments and images. The card base is cut and folded the exact same way each time. These are all easy fun fold cards to make in no time.
Just like yesterday’s cards I used the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper for today’s cards with the coordinating Season of Chic bundle.
Here’s a peek at the inside:
You can see on this picture how the “arm” or flap was created. All you do is cut the cardstock to any size that you need and score one end at 1/2″ which gets attached to the backside of the Basic White piece before you attach it to your card base.
Let’s take a closer look at these fun fold cards:
The shells on this card were actually die cut out of the Designer Series Paper with the coordinating die; part of the Season of Chic bundle. The cross hatch Soft Suede piece is also a die cut from the bundle.
The Festive Pearls go perfectly with this suite of products.
Here are the Measurements for this card:
The Card Base is Petal Pink cut 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and cut 1″ off the right hand side.
The Arm or Flap piece is 4″ X 4 1/2″ one side scored at 1/2″ so it ends up being a 4″ X 4″ flap
Basic White piece 3 3/4″ X 3 3/4″
Inside Basic White piece is 4″ X 5 1/4″
For this card I wanted a smaller front flap so I shortened up the flap so you can see more of the designer series paper on the card front. This gives me a smaller canvas for the sentiment and the images. Again, I used the die to cut the shells from the Designer Series Paper.
The ink I used for the sentiments is Soft Suede.
