Simple To Create Fun Fold Cards Stepped Up With Texture Chic

So I’ve been showing you this simple to create fun fold card the past few days. Now I stepped it up with adding an arm to the side; holding the sentiment.  The layout is exactly the same as the last 2 days layouts except just by adding a new element to the card it gives it a whole new look.

I also switched up the Designer Series Paper.  Today I’m using the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!  This paper pack is part of the Texture Chic Suite of products.  It has a coordinating stamp set and die set and the gorgeous Distressed Gold Specialty paper.   I’m not sure why I haven’t played with this suite of products yet; it is just stunning!

I’m always in need of some birthday cards so why not make them into a fun fold birthday card.  The paper has a nice Gold Foil to it and the Festive Pearls go perfect with the prints in the pack.  I also added the Gold Bow to my card which is from the Simply Elegant pack.

I used the Stylish Shapes Dies for my sentiment and the mat on this card; turning it from a square to diamond shape.

I’ve been asked to show the inside of this type of layout so here you go.  As you can see I matted another stitched square to the inside to cover up the arm piece.  You can choose to not to this put I think it gives it a nice finishing touch on the inside.  All you need to do is copy your shape from the front side.

I couldn’t decide which color of solid cardstock I liked best so I went with Pool Party and Petal Pink.  On this card I decided to use the Layering Circles dies and just went with a few of the Festive Pearls.

Depending on the prints you choose you can place your arm element either towards the top, center or bottom the choice is yours.
