Today’s card is the first bonus card for this month’s Stamp Camp At Home Card Club Members. This month we are diving into the Regency Park Designer Series Paper pack to create some fun fold cards and using it to create some color blocking techniques like today’s card.
Color blocking is a popular design technique that involves using contrasting colors to create bold and striking visuals. Whether you’re a graphic designer, artist, or just looking to add some flair to your cards, color blocking will help you take your designs to the next level. I love the prints in this paper pack and it is a mix of bold, bright and soft prints to mix and match and create your color blocking cards.
There are many different ways you can do color blocking. You can use ink pads and the clear blocks, you can use painters tape with ink pads, you can use ink pads directly to your card stock. Coloring blocking does not necessarily have to be all in a row or straight up and down you can do lots of different versions of color blocking. On today’s card I used 3 different prints from the Regency Park paper pack and basically filled in my card base with the strips of paper creating a pattern of colors.
I’m sure you’ve already created some color blocking techniques in your card making, you probably just never gave it a name. Next time you pull out your inks, printed papers or even some painters tape you may want to give some thought to your color blocking technique. Will your card blocking be structured or will it be angled, sideways or horizontal? Grab your paper scraps and go to town!
The sentiment and the framelits on the front are from the coordinating Sentimental Park bundle. This bundle is in the upcoming Stampin’ up! Annual Catalog but it will no longer be bundle together with the stamp set and dies they will be sold separately. So, if you love this bundle as I do, then you will want to purchase it soon and save 10% on the bundle.
Sadly the Regency Park paper is on the retired list. My club members receive the whole 6 x 6 pack of this paper in their club kit; so if you wish to join my Stamp Camp At Home Card Club you should do it soon! Click HERE to view the details and sign up.
Which colors in the paper pack will you choose to color block together on your cards? There are many different color palettes in this pack and they go together perfectly; so mix and match or don’t match the choice is yours. Like the sentiment on the card Let’s Celebrate You and your crafting ideas and techniques. Create your cards in your style, color and design.
