Last night’s One Sheet Wonder cards featured the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper again. I also featured the coordinating Earthen Textures bundle. I combined these products to create 5 fun cards. Three of the cards are a double front fold card and on two of the cards I used up some of the scrap pieces.
These products are part of my Stamp Camp At Home Card Club kit for this month. Club members will receive a 1/2 pack (6 x 12) of the Earthen Elegance paper pack a full spool of the Wavy Trim, a package of Neutrals Sequins, card kits to create 8 cards, PDF file and Video tutorial PLUS bonus PDF files all month long! I think my card club is an exceptional value for all the goodies club members receive. If you haven’t tried my club or heard about it you can check out all the details HERE.
Let’s dive in and take a closer look at these Five Earthen Elegance One Sheet Wonder Cards:
These two cards were the first cards I created from my Designer Series Paper. They are called a double front flip card. These cards are pretty thick as they have two sections that open up revealing your messages. They might seem technical but they are super easy you just have lots of pieces and cardstock to assemble. I also used both sides of the designer series paper last night. When you use this one sheet wonder layout you will want to make sure that the back side of your print works just as well with the front side and can be used in any direction.
After creating and taking photos of these cards I’m thinking I could have just used 1 of the vases and attached a sentiment strip across the vase as I did in the 3rd and 4th cards, but sometimes not putting a sentiment on the front is nice too. You could leave the sentiments off until you decide what occasion you will be using the cards for and add them later.
In this photo you can see the first section flipped up to reveal the Thank You sentiment. The dies used to die cut these are from the Something Fancy dies. The sentiment is part of the Earthen Textures bundle. Keeping the sentiment flat on this section will help to reduce the thickness of these cards. This is also shows the reverse side of the paper.
Here is what is inside the card when opened up all the way. I stamped the wheat image using the Moody Mauve ink and the sentiment is Gray Granite.
This next double front flap card is perfect for my 3 X 4 piece that I had to use up. Again, I used a bunch of vases and plants on this card front which it could have had less and a sentiment but it’s a great card to use for any occasion.
To cover the left-hand front flap I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and then embossed it with the Crosshatch embossing folder. This folder is part of the Basics 3D Embossing folders only available online. There are 3 folders in the pack: crosshatch, dots and a flower image. You can see how this is a double front flap as the right-hand and left-hand side of the card front opens up to reveal the inside of the card. This is a super simple technique and I’m sure you’ve created this type of fold before.
Final Two Paper Strips Cards:
So what do you do with little strips of paper? You can cut them into littler strips and create some fun cards with a center focal point as I did with these two cards. I actually ran out of the size of Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper that I needed so I used coordinating cardstock as shown in the Gray Granite cards and embossed it with the Crosshatch embossing folder to give it texture and similar look to the designer paper. At first I wasn’t sold on this card but the more I look at it the more I like it. The Moody Mauve version on the left actually looks like a solid piece that I die cut the center out of; it is an optical illusion. On both of these cards I only used one vase and a couple of the leave dies with the sentiment across the top.
Last night on all the cards I chose to use the In Color dots instead of the Neutrals Sequins that I used last week. I like to switch things up a bit and I think those Moody Mauve and Pebbled Path Dots were the perfect fit for this week’s cards.
