I told you I would show you how to make the Accordion Christmas Tree card I posted yesterday.? This is not my idea I was shown this at my last downline meeting by Christi who attended the Cincinnati OH Regional in September.? I do not know who the creator of this card was but Thanks for Sharing!
Cut a piece of Old Olive Card stock 1 5/8″ X 4 3/4″.
Using the Old Olive ink pad and the Sassy Sparkles wheel, ink up the wheel and wheel your Old Olive strip.
Punch one end of your Old Olive strip using the Scallop Edge punch.
Score the Old Olive strip starting 1/2″ from the Scallop edge then, 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2″, 2 1/4″, 2 3/4″, 3″, 3 1/2″ and 3 3/4″.
Fold a piece of 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ Kraft Card stock in half to create your card.
Next apply a strip of 1″ X 5 1/2″ Dusty Durango card stock approximately 1/4″ from the bottom of your card.
Now apply your tree trunk (1/2″ X 1″ Chocolate Chip card stock).
Take your trimmer and starting from the right side of your stamped and scored Old Olive strip line it up in the cutter from the bottom right side of the scallop with the top left at the 1″ mark on your cutter.? (You should be cutting on and angle.)
Next flip over your Old Olive strip and line it up in the trimmer from the bottom right side of the scallop with the top at a point.
Run your adhesive just above your scallop edge and attach to your tree trunk about 1/2 way up.
Now fold on the score lines back and forth accordion style.
Take a mini glue dot and attach it to each valley folds and attach it down on your card.
Punch out a Summer Sun star using the Small star punch.? Attach a Rhinestone brad in the center of your star and attach the star to the top of your tree using a mini glue dot.
Stamp the words “Merry Christmas” from the Four the Holidays stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink to complete your card.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
