Three Beautiful Basic Stamping Techniques Made Easy With One Simple Sketch:

With the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper and the Trusty Tools stamp set you can create this super quick and easy card for dad for Father’s Day.  The beauty of today’s card sketch is that it looks great vertically or horizontally.   Each of the cards I show you today all use the same size cardstock and paper pieces, you just need to decide if you want it vertically or horizontally on your card front.

Card 1: Horizontal Scenic Layout
This card uses the sketch just as shown—horizontally—with a view of the harbor.  On the card sketch I did not add the sentiment piece as you will notice on each of the samples the sentiment piece is in a different placement with a different framelit.  Now, if you do not have a Cut & Emboss Machine or framelit dies, you could you punches for your sentiment pieces or just cut your cardstock in the shape you desire.

The card base is the Misty Moonlight 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.  The mat under the Beautiful Gallery paper is Basic Beige 3″ X 5″.  Each of the printed paper strips is 1 1/4″ X 3 3/4″.   I then added the Nested Essentials die cut with the sentiment from the Trusty Tools stamp set.  The little Misty Moonlight strip behind the sentiment helps to tie everything together.  To finish off the card I added the Adhesive-Backed textured dots.

Card 2: Horizontal Thinking of You Card
For this card I used the Beautiful Gallery print and the base is Basic Beige and the mat under the paper strips if Basic Black.  The dimensions for all the card pieces are exactly the same as the first card, the only difference is the sentiment die cut and placement.  This thinking of you sentiment is from the coordinating Beautiful Motifs stamp set.  Again, I used the Adhesive-backed textured dots on this card as well.

Card 3: Vertical Thank You card
For the third card, I used the same layout as the other two cards, but turned it vertically.  I also changed up the paper underneath the paper strips, by using another piece of the Beautiful Gallery prints, which has this soft green plaster looking image.  The card base is Mossy Meadow bringing out the green leaves of the flowers and the sentiment ink is Mossy Meadow as well.   Instead of adding the dots to the sentiment I used the Pressed Flowers Motif dots and randomly placed them around the flowers.
