Beginner Stamping Card Ideas With The Stamp Camp Card Sketches

beginner-friendly stamping techniques with card sketeches

Check out today’s beginner stamping card ideas with The Stamp Camp card sketches.  Learn beginner-friendly stamping techniques with my weekly card sketches.  With this week’s card sketch I’ll show you 3 different ways you can use the sketch, plus I have a stamping tip for you.  Did I also mention that all three of these cards were created from just one 6 x 6 sheet of the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper pack?  So, today’s cards also are a one sheet wonder.

This is a new series that I have started on Wednesday’s.  Every Wednesday I’ll post a new sketch that you can download and print and keep in your craft room for times when you need a quick sample to look at or just need some creative motivation.  My suggestion to you would be to purchase a 3-ring binder and some page protectors, so you can print out the sketches and start your very own sketch book.

Card Sketches are the perfect starting point for beginner stamping card ideas.  But, they also work great for helping to get advanced stampers out of their creative rut we all get into from time to time.  I love to show the many possibilities you can achieve from a simple sketch.

This card follows the sketch pretty spot on the only difference is I added the Flower bouquet in the upper right-hand corner.   This flower image is from the coordinating Gallery Blooms Bundle.  The Beautiful Gallery Suite has many different products that will help you to add accessories to your cards.

The large sentiment I used on the card front is from the With You In Mind stamp set.  This set has sentiments and little imagines to complete some quick and easy cards with.

For each of these card samples I used the Nested Essentials dies and the coordinating Pressed Flower Motifs dots to accent the cards.

For the inside I added a piece of Basic Beige cardstock and stamped the same flower bouquet that I used on the front, except I did not use the coordinating die to die cut it out.

For the second card I choose to create it vertically.  This time I used another flower bouquet image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set, but just stamped it on Basic Beige cardstock and used the coordinating die to cut it out.  The ink color is the new Secret Sea In Color and so is the card base.

The sentiment I used on this card came from the second stamp set in the Beautiful Gallery Suite and that is the Beautiful Motifs stamp set.  This stamp set has a few images in the set, but it is mostly all sentiments.

To accent the flower bouquet I used the Very Vanilla Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack.

For the inside I choose another flower image form the Gallery Blooms stamp set and stamped it on the inside on a piece of Basic Beige cardstock.  Don’t forget to stamp it on your envelopes as well, who doesn’t love a nice coordinating envelope with their beautiful card.

The final card is a fun fold card, but has a similar look to the sketch.   I just flipped the position of the Beautiful Gallery print to the opposite side of the card front and added the fun fold feature.

To create this card you will cut your Secret Sea card base at 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ and score at 1″ and at 4 1/4″.  You will fold your card in half at the 4 1/4″ score line and then fold the 1″ score line back towards the center fold.

You will then adhere your Nested Essentials die cuts on that 1″ fold.

Want to know one of my favorite beginner stamping card ideas?  Using your Wink of Stella to color your stamped images.  No need to add color with a marker, blender pen or re-inker, just pick up the color from your stamped image using your Wink of Stella.  Blend the stamped ink around where you want some color.  The ink is wet enough that you do not need anything else.  The best part is the Wink of Stella has some sparkle in it to add just the look you want.  See how it turned the flowers a lighter shade of blue; almost like cloud cover ink.

The Nested Essentials die cuts are Peach Pie and Cloud Cover; I chose these colors from the Beautiful Gallery printed paper.

The Thinking of you sentiment is from the coordinating Beautiful Motifs stamp set and I used the Stylish Shapes dies to die cut the banner.  To finish it off I added the Very Vanilla Twine bow and the Pressed Flower Motifs dots.

How are these cards a one sheet wonder?  Well all you do is cut your 6 x 6 piece of Beautiful Gallery paper, 2″ X 5 1/2″.  You will have a 1/2″ strip left-over to use how you like.
