Bird Ballad Designer Paper and Sketch Challenge

This week I issued another sketch challenge to my team.  This time I got the sketch from Poetic Artistry which used to be called Mojo Monday.

I love to use sketches; for me it takes a lot of guess work out of my cards.  When I issue my team a sketch challenge; I love to see what they come up with and what stamp sets they use.  It is so fun to see how the same layout can look so different depending on the papers you use and the stamp sets that you use.

Here is the sketch:

Mojo Monday Sketch 520

My card is pretty much all the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper with just a bit of stamping.  The only stamping I did was the Hello sentiment on the flog.  You can easily change the sentiment to any occasion you need a card for.

I used the dimensions listed on the sketch and just added a mat behind the printed papers.  The single Bird was die cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies and then I punched the mat using the Starburst punch.

Dimensionals were used on the Single Bird and the Sentiment Flag.  The Sentiment is from the coordinating Free As A Bird Bundle.

Three Pearls on the Flag to finish it off.

You can see on the inside card piece I added a strip of the Designer Series Paper as well.  Might as well use up those little scrap pieces and it just adds so much to the inside of your card.

The Free As A Bird Bundle was my featured stamp set last month and you can still get all the PDF files and videos.  Just drop me an email and I’ll send you a PayPal Invoice or $9.95.
