Clean And Simple Handmade Cards With Sale-a-bration Papers

clean and simple handmade cards with sale-a-bration paper

Let’s create clean and simple handmade cards with the Flight & Airy Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper. Today I’m going to show you a simple layout that you can use for pretty much any designer series paper and then I’ll step it up a bit to show you the versatility of this pretty paper pack.

Like Monday’s post I want to show you how you can use this Sale-a-bration pack of paper to create some simple and gorgeous cards.  You just need the paper and a sentiment from any stamp set that you have on hand.  I did also bring in the Stylish Shapes circle dies, but you could use any circle punches that you might have on hand as well.  I hope the simplicity of these first two cards doesn’t scare you off from opening this blog post as you will be amazed at how you can step them up.

The first thing I did was to cut a few strips of the print shown and using my Stylish Shapes Circles; I die cut a few of the birds from the paper strips.  I also die cut a coordinating Boho Blue circle to attach my bird to.  I used the remainder of the same paper, just flipped it over to attach to my Boho Blue card base.   I then added a strip of Boho Blue cardstock that I stamped the sentiment on; using Boho Blue ink and adhered it across the center as shown.  I added my bird and just like that it is done.  On the inside I added a piece of Basic White cardstock with a strip of the designer series paper across the bottom edge; and this clean and simple handmade card was completed.  Once I was finished I thought I could use this same layout and make this same card only vertical instead of horizontal.

So this is the vertical version of this card layout and I did use a different bird in my circle die.   Because my bird was a bit smaller than the first bird I went with smaller circle dies as well.  The layout is pretty much the exact same just flipped.  Now I could have added some bling to both of these cards, but I wanted to keep them simple and easier for mailing.  Both of these cards have a very simple layout to them that you could easily mass produce with papers that you have on hand.  I’m sure you will love the outcome, but if you want to step them up and not have to bring in a whole assortment of products check these out.

Here is another card just like the first version, horizontally done the same exact way.  This time all I did was hand cut the little bird with the branch of flowers and popped it up with the larger bird using dimensionals.  I also added a bit of bling with the Blooming Pearls, which were in the retired mini catalog but still available to order as they have been carried over.

So just like that I took these clean and simple handmade cards and stepped them up; just by adding another paper element from the same designer series paper pack and a few of those pretty pearls.

I did the same thing for the vertical version by hand cutting a couple of birds on a branch with flowers and added some of the Blooming Pearls to this one as well.  I kind of coordinated by birds so they looked like they were a little bird couple or family.  Super sweet cards which came together in no time.
