Let’s create 10 fun One Sheet Wonder Cards using the New FREE Dandy Designs Designer Series paper stack. This is the free stack of papers that you can choose during Sale-a-bration when you place a min. $100.00 order. The prints are just beautiful and so versatile for so many occasions.
I paired this particular print with the Happiness Abounds Bundle and the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. I didn’t have enough flowers from the paper pack to create all 10 cards so I will show you different techniques for coloring the images in the stamp set.
You will find the Project Sheet and the One Sheet Wonder template in this blog post.
Now let’s take a look at each of the cards you will create with just (1) 12 X 12 Sheet of Designer Series Paper. You will create 2 of each design for a total of 10 cards.
Faux Envelope Vertical Cards:
I call this the faux envelope card because you cut the designer series paper on an angle and attach it to your card front as shown which looks like an envelope. The flowers on these two cards is from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper; I die cut them out using the coordinating dies.
The happy birthday sentiment and the banner used to die cut it out is from the new Something Fancy Bundle; from the mini catalog.
I accented the cards with the Metallic Rustic dots to bring out the Early Espresso from the flower centers.
Faux Envelope Horizontal Cards:
Here are the two horizontal faux envelope cards. They are created the same way as the vertical just change the direction. The flowers are all die cut from the designer paper. Sadly this was the end of my coastal cabana flowers from the pack so I had to get creative for the remainder of the cards.
This particular print from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper Stack coordinated beautifully with these flowers from the Hues of Happiness paper pack. This particular print is Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green which I thought looked more Coastal Cabana.
Book Binding Cards:
These two cards are called a book binding fold. These are the horizontal version. Since I ran out of the flowers from the Hues of Happiness paper I decided to stamp the flower images on Basic White cardstock and color them in using the Pool Party and Bermuda Bay Blends and the leaves were colored with the Granny Apple Green Blends. I then die cut them out with the coordinating dies.
The sentiment is part of the Something Fancy bundle and the Oval die cuts are from the Framed Florets Dies.
To accent these cards I used the Pool Party Ribbon and the Pearls.
Vertical Book Binding Cards:
These two cards are created the same as the horizontal version just vertical. The flowers and accent pieces are the same as the horizontal version as well.
Twisted Easel Cards:
The final two cards in this one sheet wonder template are the 2 Twisted Easel cards. These cards end up being 4 1/4″ X 4 1/4″ square so they do fit inside your regular envelopes.
To create the flowers on these two cards instead of stamping them and coloring them with the blends I decided to stamp them on Basic White cardstock using the Coordinating Coastal Cabana and Pearl Pizzazz inks and then using the Blending Brushes to add the color. I used the dies to die cut them out. Stamping and coloring them this way makes them softer. All 3 ways are pretty and I can’t decide which flowers I like the best. I guess for time saving die cutting them from the paper pack is the quickest and easiest; but if you don’t have the paper or enough of it you have these 2 other options.
