Welcome to Week 39 of my Weekly Card Sketches, where I share easy stamping techniques for card making using card sketches that make creating handmade cards simple and fun. If you ever feel stuck staring at your supplies wondering where to start, card sketches are the perfect solution—especially for beginners.

This week’s card sketch was designed with easy stamping for beginners in mind. By following a simple layout, you can focus on enjoying the creative process instead of overthinking placement and design.

Why Card Sketches Make Card Making So Easy

Using card sketches is one of the easiest ways to streamline your card-making process. A sketch gives you a proven layout, taking the guesswork out of designing your card. Simply swap in your favorite colors, stamps, and designer series paper to create endless variations.

Today’s sketch is especially versatile. You can use any Designer Series Paper you have on hand and still achieve fabulous results. Whether your style is floral, seasonal, or clean and simple, this sketch adapts beautifully.

I encourage you to give this sketch a try and make it your own. Whether you’re a beginner just getting started or a seasoned stamper looking for quick inspiration, these card sketches are designed to make card making fun, easy, and stress-free.

Be sure to download and print this week’s sketch so you’ll have a great resource at your fingertips whenever you’re looking for inspiration or quick card ideas.

Card Samples Using Coordinating Suites

For my two card samples, I used:

  • Made with Love Designer Series Paper

  • Nature Walk Designer Series Paper

Both cards follow the exact same sketch, yet they look completely different just by changing the paper and color palette. That’s the beauty of using card sketches with easy stamping techniques for card making.

The sentiments and embellishments on both cards come from the coordinating suites that match each Designer Series Paper pack. Using products that are designed to work together makes card making even easier—everything coordinates effortlessly, from the stamps to the dies and embellishments.

Card Sketch Measurements – Made with Love Designer Series Paper

Use the measurements below to recreate the Card Sketch #39 featuring the Made with Love Designer Series Paper. This layout is perfect for practicing easy stamping techniques for card making, especially if you love clean layers and quick assembly.

Card Base

  • Real Red Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″

Cardstock Layers

  • Basic White Cardstock (2): 4″ x 5 1/4″

  • Basic White square: 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″

  • Real Red mat: 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

Designer Series Paper

  • Made with Love DSP (8): 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″

  • Inside DSP strip: 3/4″ x 4″

These measurements make it easy to follow the sketch and are great for easy stamping techniques for beginners. Once you’ve made one card, you’ll find it simple to create multiples by switching out the Designer Series Paper and sentiments.

Card #2 – Nature’s Walk Designer Series Paper

For Card #2, I used the exact same measurements and card sketch as Card #1. This is a perfect example of how card sketches make card making easy—simply change the colors and Designer Series Paper for a completely different look.

What’s different on this card:

  • Card base: Pretty Peacock

  • Cardstock layers: Basic Beige (instead of Basic White)

  • Designer Series Paper: Nature’s Walk Designer Series Paper

  • Focal image: The larger square on the front is an image from the Nature’s Walk Designer Series Paper & Sticker Pack

By keeping the layout the same and swapping out the products, you can quickly create multiple cards using easy stamping techniques for beginners while still achieving beautiful, coordinated results.

This approach is ideal when you want to mass-produce cards or when you’re short on time but still want your cards to look thoughtfully designed.
