Faux Metal

Monday, January 9, 2012

Today is my Techie class and Masculine Short Stack class. One of the techniques they will be making today is the Faux Metal technique.

I really like how this turned out. The stamp set I used was the Need for Speed. The Faux metal is super easy to do. All you have to do is apply tombow all-purpose glue to a piece of Whisper White card stock and then adhere aluminum foil to it; smoothing out the foil with your bone folder. Let this dry then place it into any of the impressions folders or the embosslit dies to create faux metal pieces.

Thanks for stopping by,
Glenda

Love this…do you cut the foil to the size of the white or apply it larger and then trim? That’s what I did, but it seems simpler the way you write it up and my way wasn’t always neat…Thanks!
