Frenchie/Stamp Camp Challenge!

Thursday, March 15, 2012

Today is the Frenchie/Stamp Camp Challenge. It was France’s week to make up the challenge and she told me to make up something for Easter. Hmmm, I do not have any current Stampin’ Up! Easter stamp sets so what to do? Well I was surfing thru my favorite blogs and came across my friend Dawn Griffith’s blog featuring the cutest little bunnies that I just had to make. Hmmm I thought how can I use these super cute little bunnies to meet my challenge with France. Well I told you I have a craft show this Saturday and gift card holders are always a great gift, so here are my Bunny gift card holders:

Aren’t they adorable? Here is a picture of the inside of the gift card holder:

Okay so now that you are so in love with them; How do you make them? Well click here to watch Dawn’s video on how to make the bunnies.

Here is how to make the gift card holder part:
Cut a piece of Basic Black card stock 4 1/4″ X 11″
Score at 4 1/4″ and at 8 1/2″
Fold on score lines and on the 2 1/2″ section punch out half a circle using the 1 3/8″ Circle punch. Attach sticky strip along the sides and close to create your gift card pocket.
Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 4″ X 1 1/2″ and attach to the front of the pocket.
Stamp a sentiment onto the Whisper White card stock piece.
You can also place a piece of Whisper White card stock 4″ x 4″ in the top portion inside your gift card to write a message to the recipient of the gift card.

Okay so now you need a coordinating envelope right?

Here is how you are going to create your envelope using the New Diagonal Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
Cut a piece of coordinating DSP 7″ x 7″
Score on the Diagonal Scoring tool at 3 1/4″ on all sides.
After you have scored all the sides you will have a little upside down V (I don’t know how to make an upside down V on the keyboard) where the score lines cross each other cut out that little part.
Fold in 3 sides and secure with adhesive or red line tape.
Once your card is set to go fold down the top flap and secure with a mini glue dot.

Now head on over to France’s Blog and see what she has done with today’s Challenge.

Happy Stamping!
