Are you ready for the Good Morning Magnolia Split Negative Technique?  Join me tonight at 7:30PM EST on my FaceBook page or YouTube Channel “The Stamp Camp”.  I’ll show you how to do this technique and you will end up with 2 cards with a fun and different look.

This is an oldie but a goodie technique.  This technique can be done with a variety of stamp sets.  I still had the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set on my Stamparatus from last week’s Faux Wood Burning technique so decided to go with it for today’s technique as well.    If you missed my Faux Wood Burning Technique you can click here to see that blog post.  So, now you have 2 different techniques using the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.

I also used the new Ornate Layers Dies for the background on the card giving the edge that dainty scallop edging.

The Detailed Trio punch was used to do the corner rounding on the faux split negative pieces.

On the inside of the cards I used the Retiring Magnolia Blooms stamp set.

The Pearls were left natural on 1/2 the card and colored with the Black Blends on the other 1/2 of the card.  The White on black card stock was embossed with White Embossing Powder and the Black Memento ink pad was used on the white half.

I’ve always thought that black and white cards are so striking and the split negative technique doesn’t disappoint.  What do you think?  Have you ever tried out this technique?  If not give it a try!
