It’s time for Case-ing Tuesdays Sketches #357! I was gone on vacation last week so missed last week Tuesday’s sketch challenge but I’m back with this week’s sketch. Today’s sketch can be found on page 17 of the annual catalog. This is the perfect sketch for creating clean and simple handmade cards. I love card sketches and this one makes quick and easy cards in no time.
Actually there isn’t any stamping involved on my card today. It is all about dies and embossing folders. Here is the sample from the catalog:
They used the new Pretty Pop-ups dies on there card and the Celebrating You stamp set. I went with the Amazing Thanks Dies for my sentiment and the Thanks and Hello Embossing Folder for my card.
The Amazing Thanks dies have a thin die and a thicker die so you can mat your die cuts as I did on this card. I love this type of technique and use it a lot in my scrapbooks. It really makes the “Thanks” pop with that white mat behind the Gorgeous Grape “Thanks”; don’t you think?
This sketch shows you the measurements so you know exactly how to cut each of your pieces.
Give this sketch challenge a try. Card sketches layouts like this make card making quick and easy! If you are in to creating clean and simple handmade cards then you will love this sketch. Think outside the box with the different possibilities for the 3 layers. You could use Designer Series Papers instead of dies or embossing folders or mix and match the different mediums like I did.
Did you notice the Glossy Dots on my card? Love these and they are part of my Card Club for this month; just gorgeous!
