Graduation Hat Fun Fold Card With A Pocket For Your Gift

graduation hat fun fold card

It is graduation season and today I have a quick and easy Graduation Hat Fun Fold Card to share with you. Not only is it a pop-up graduation hat card, but inside is a spot for your cash, check or gift card. So, not only is this a card, but a gift all in one.  This is also a one sheet wonder card, where?  The hat on the front of the card is a 6 x 6 sheet of designer series paper and it is not cut, only scored, and folded to create a pop-up graduation hat.

The Designer Series Paper that I used is retired as I haven’t received the new prints yet, so if you do not have the new papers either go ahead and use what you have on hand.

To get the tassel for the hat I just used a piece of White ribbon, tied a knot, and adhered it to the center of the hat with a mini glue dot.  The ribbon is part of the Petal Pink and Basic White duo pack, which sadly isn’t available right not.  It is expected to be back into the warehouse the week of June 3rd.

Here is the graduation hat fun fold card opened, with a little message inside. If you have the Cap & Gown stamp set, you could stamp a graduation hat and diploma inside as well. The “you did it” sentiment came from the online exclusive Happy Little Things stamp set and the “Congratulations” sentiment is from the online exclusive Sweetly Scripted stamp set.

The colors I chose are the Shaded Spruce and Basic White. The Shaded Spruce Designer Series Paper is part of the Regals 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Pack. I like to make my cards in the colors that are the graduates school colors, this makes them personable and special.

On the inside is a little pocket for cash, money, or a gift card.  In the video I show you how you can tighten up the pocket, so your cash or check won’t slide around.  Also, on the inside you have plenty of room for writing a message or stamping a sentiment.

Congrats to all the grads and I’m sure they will all enjoy their handmade special graduation cards.
