If you still have your leftover paper pieces from Monday’s crafting projects, don’t throw them away! Instead, put them to good use by creating beautiful and unique cards. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to use the Hello Ladybug stamp set to add a charming touch to your cards using those leftover paper pieces. Get ready to unleash your creativity and make something truly special!

Gather your leftover paper pieces.

Before you begin creating your stunning cards, gather all of your leftover paper pieces from previous crafting projects. These can include scraps of patterned paper, cardstock, or even small embellishments. By using these leftover pieces, you can add a unique and personalized touch to your cards while also reducing waste. So gather up those scraps and let’s get started on creating some beautiful cards!

Creating these Hello Ladybug Stamp Set Card Ideas

Choose a card base and gather any additional materials you want to use (such as the In Color Pearls and the Stylish Shapes Dies).  I went with the Basic Black to bring out the black body of my ladybugs.

Next, I cut my card base 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ and then scored it at 4 1/4″ and cut off 1 1/4″ from the left hand side.  I then place a piece of Basic White cardstock inside the Ferns 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through my Cut & Emboss Machine.   I added this piece to the front flap of my card.

I used the leftover die cut circle from Monday’s card as my focal point for my ladybug to sit on.  I also used the Stylish Shapes banners to create my sentiment banner.  The additional strip of the Tahitian Tide Designer Series Paper was attached along the left-hand side in the inside of my card.  I did trim it down a bit so it didn’t take up my whole inside Basic White piece giving me more room to stamp or write an inside sentiment.

For the second card I used all the same elements as the first one except I just moved the position of the elements on my card front.  I made the banner piece on the circle go across the whole circle and moved it down to the middle of my card front.   I also positioned my ladybug in the opposite direction.  See how just by making subtle changes to the way you position your elements on the cards will change the look and feel to the card.  Not to mention changing the paper colors.

For card #3 I decided to go all out and add TWO hello ladybugs to my card front.  I know, Wow! you are really stepping up your game!  hahahaha. Also, with this card I decided to not cut off my card front like I did with the other two cards.  This card base is 5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.  The Basic White piece on the front is 4″ X 5 1/4″ and was also embossed with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.

For this card I centered the leftover circle piece and attached 2 of the ladybugs to the circle going in opposite directions.  I think this adds some movement and dimension to the card as well as interest.  You can almost visualize them flying off the card.

From the 2022-2024 InColor paper pack I have used the Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet and Orchid Oasis paper but I know these would be lovely in all 5 of the 2022-2024 In Colors.  I think these ladybugs look so sweet in any of the colors and I like to switch things up and not go with the normal ladybug colors.  Think outside the box and change up your color combinations and create some fun and interesting cards for anyone.
