How to Create Peek-a-Boo Cards In A Flash – Picture This Dies!

Picture This Dies Stampin' up! 2021

Creating Peek-a-boo cards just got even easier with the New Picture This Dies Stampin’ Up! 2021. These fun dies do all the work for you! All you need to do is decide if you want to use Designer Series Papers on the backside or stamp some images for the Peek-a-boo windows.

How fun is that?  Super easy to create a variety of cards in no time.  I used the soon to be gone for good Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper from the Stampin’ Up! Retired List 2021.  I checked to see if this paper pack was still available before posting this blog post and it was still available when I typed up this post last night.

In the Picture This Dies pack you will get both the Rectangle Window Die and the Circles Window Die; so you get 2 dies in this pack.

What I like about these dies is there is no waste.  I save all the rectangle windows and the circle windows and use them on other cards or mix and match them on these peek-a-boo window cards.  They are great for adding the sentiments to the card fronts.

The Sentiment on this card front is part of the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set which is on the Stampin’ Up! Retired List 2021.  Keep in mind all the items on the Retired list will be gone for good after June 30th.

See the sentiment on this Circle Die Peek-a-boo card?  I used one of the smaller circles that die cut out to stamp my sentiment on and popped it up inside the upper circle.

To finish off the cards I added a few of the Opal Rounds.  On the Rectangle card I used the Flirty Flamingo Blends to color the Opal Rounds so they would coordinate with the card base.

I love how quick and easy these cards come together; plus it uses up my Designer Series Papers.  This is a great way to showcase many different prints.

I also created these 2 cards with the True Love Designer Series Paper; which is on the Stampin’ Up! Retired List 2021 and already SOLD OUT!

Bummer because I really like how these turned out.  I used the die cut out circles for both of these cards; layering a couple of them.  I used the Opal Rounds on both of these cards as well; you can just see them easier on the Black front versus the Basic White front.  Maybe on the Basic White card I should have used the Black Matte Dots.

You could easily make these into spotlight cards as well by just coloring in the areas that were die cut out.  I will be using these dies a lot I think as I have so many ideas for them swirling around in my head.  I’m not sure which shapes I like better the Circles or the Rectangles.  Do you have a preference?

As I went looking through the Stampin’ Up! Retired List 2021 all the different Designer Series Paper Packs I see that Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper is still available.  I know a few of those prints would be gorgeous using these dies.  Guess I better get busy! 🙂
