Inlaid Snowflakes

Monday, November 1, 2010

Update:  My Mom has returned home from the hospital.  After running a few more test it was decided that they would not operate and sent her home.  My parents are now deciding if they want to pursue other options and are thinking about Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic.

Yes, another Inlaid Embossed card.  This time I used the new Northern Frost Decorative Strip from the Holiday Mini pg. 38 #120901 $21.95 to create the snowflakes.  I then glued them to the Marine Mist card stock and ran it thru the Big Shot inside the Square Lattice Impressions folder.

I then took the Silver Foil Smooch Spritz pg. 195 #118771 $4.95 and sprayed my entire card.  This gave it a vintage look and feel.  I then desided it needed a little more shimmer so I sprayed it with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol.  I ran the White Satin ribbon across and added the bow with the Antique Brad (pg. 187 #117273 $5.95) in the center.  I really like this brad it brings out the Silver and the White in the card.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and punched out using the large oval punch.  I layered this onto a Brushed Silver Scallop Oval and onto a Shimmer White Snowflake from the Northern Frost Decorative Strip.  I also sprayed this with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with the alcohol.  I wish you could see it sparkle!

Thanks so much and have a Great Day!

I have really enjoyed all your inlaid cards and can’t wait to give it a try. My favorite one is the Christmas ornament card–just love those colors together. Thanks for sharing your idea.
