Let’s Create An Interlocking Fun Fold Card 5 Different Ways

interlocking fun fold card

Have you ever tried to make an Interlocking Fun Fold Card?  How many different ways do you know how to make one? Join me this Thursday night January 12 at 8:00PM EST on my YouTube Channel and I’ll show you how these 5 cards were made.   Click HERE for the link to Thursday night’s live class

Each one of these cards has a bit different way of creating the Interlocking fold.  They may look technical and difficult but trust me they are really easy to create and we all love a good fun fold card don’t we?

Let’s take a look at each one of these cards.

Double Panel Interlocking Fun Fold Card Vertical:

This is the first card I’ll demonstrate using the New Fancy Flora designer series paper from the new mini catalog.  I am actually going to create 2 cards using this new paper pack.  I pulled my color scheme from the print and the flowers were created using the new Petal Park Builder Punch, which is also in the new mini catalog.  It is paired in the catalog with the Petal Park Bundle but I wanted it for this card and I think it really goes with any paper pack.

The gorgeous flower centers are also in the new mini and they are from the Iridescent Pastel Gems pack.   You may be wondering how I got so many new products already?  Well as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator we get to order from the Mini Catalog a month before it goes live to the public.  That’s just one of the perks for being a demonstrator and. you do not have to sell to anyone but yourself if you want.  There are lots of perks and the discount isn’t so bad either.  Want to join my team?  Click HERE to learn more.

Double Panel Interlocking Fun Fold Card Horizontal:

This is the horizontal version of the double panel fun fold card.  This time I used the New Stampin’ Up! By the Bay Designer Series Paper.  This is the same paper pack that I used for Saturday’s One Sheet Wonder cards.  You are going to love this paper pack.  It has a regular finish on one side and on the other side it has a bit of gold foiling or a pearl foiling; which is just stunning.

This little bird was actually die cut from one of the sheets in the paper pack.  This die as well as a crab die are all part of the coordinating Seaside Bay Bundle.  The Pearl adhesive backed gems are also in the suite of products.  It is an awesome suite and I know you will want to put this suite on your wish list if you haven’t gotten it already.  The sentiment is from the bundle but if you would like it to be a birthday card you could use a sentiment from another stamp set that you have in your collection.

Quad Panel Interlocking Fun Fold Card:

Yes, you did read that right this is a quad panel card.  This fun card was created using the He’s the Man Designer Series Paper from the Annual catalog.  I’m mixing up the prints so you can see the versatility that these fun fold cards can be done in any print that you have on hand or would like to purchase.  We are always looking for a good masculine print or prints with coordinating stamp sets, dies etc and the He’s All That Bundle fits that demand perfectly.  Keep in mind when this annual catalog retires this paper pack or all the paper packs in the annual catalog will retire; the bundle might not but the paper generally does from my experience anyways.

This paper is perfect for teenagers as well; I love the print with the cars; it just makes me think of great birthday cards for the teens getting their drivers license.  I know that was a huge deal for all my kids.

For this card I was looking for a straight sentiment to fit the banner from the Stylish Shapes dies and the Father’s Day sentiment from the He’s All That bundle fit it perfectly.  You could however use a different sentiment from another stamp set if you wanted a Happy Birthday or different greeting.  I just wanted to stick with the coordinating bundle.

Triple Panel Interlocking Fun Fold Card:

This card is created a bit differently from the way the other Interlocking fun fold cards are done.  It has the same gatefold except it is a z-fold gatefold card with panels.  Pretty tricky but still easy to create.

This is paper is part of the new Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper pack.  Isn’t this a beautiful piece?  The sentiment and mat die cut pieces are all part of the new Something Fancy Bundle which is in the Fancy Flora  Suite of products.

The Iridescent Pastel Gems that I used on the other Fancy Flora card is also from this suite.  This suite of products has some really beautiful stuff in it and this may be another suite you will want to add to your wish list or next order.

Triple Panel Interlocking Fun Fold Card With A Twist:

Yes, this is a triple panel fun fold card just like before but this time I have a whole center piece attached.  You will have to join me on Thursday night to see how this is done.

This is the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog.  I used the coordinating Happiness Abounds bundle for the dies to die cut out the flowers from the paper and the sentiment is also part of the bundle.

Those beautiful jewels are part of the new adheisve-backed  Milky Dots from the mini catalog.
