Peaceful Petals

Saturday, April 12, 2014

So sorry no videos this week. I’ve been having chest pains for over a week now and finally went to the hospital on Thursday night. I had been to the chiropractor and he told me it was a hiatal hernia and made some adjustments and said I was good to go. Well that didn’t help and the pain continued. I tried all the over the counter meds for heart burn but that wasn’t touching it either. My husband said you need to go in; we are leaving for the cruise in a few short weeks and you want to eat and not end up in a hospital in Mexico.

So I went. They did an EKG, Chest X-rays, ultrasound of my liver, stomach and gall bladder; everything checked out good. They said Acid Reflux and gave me a prescription which I need to take for a month. So far not having any luck with the medicine I’m going to give it a week and if no luck I have to go in and have a scope put down my throat to my stomach.

On a good note I’m losing weight; don’t want to eat; don’t like to eat; not fun!

Anyways I thought you might be wondering why no video so now you know. I’m hoping next week is better.

The card for today was done using the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

Here is my take on the sketch:
Stampin' Up! Peaceful Petals

I used the Peaceful Petals #133104 $28.95 ore #133107 $20.95 from the Occasions catalog stamp set.

I really like the look of coloring in the flowers using the Chalk Marker; just a different look and it really isn’t colored I just outlined the petals and filled in with a few more lines; quick and easy.

I felt this made a beautiful Sympathy card.

The DSP is from the Neutrals Print Stack.

I blinged it out with Pearls on the flowers and a few mixed in with the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Oh, how I love the chalk flowers on Crumb Cake! This is such an elegant card – especially with the little pearl accents. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches. And I hope you’re feeling better soon 🙂
