Perfect Pairing Embossing Folder & Bundle For Quick Christmas Cards

Christmas card with embossing folders

Christmas cards don’t have to be technical or advanced to be stunning and pretty.  This is a super easy card to create and you could easily make a bunch of these cards in no time.   You will also find the PDF file for this card below in this article, so keep on reading.

I call this a perfect pairing card.  What does that mean?   I call it a perfect pairing card when you combine stamping products together that were not necessarily intended to be put together.  Yes, these products are all from the mini catalog but you will find them on different pages in the catalog with different products.

Here’s a rundown of the products used for today’s card

You will find the Christmas Tidings embossing folder on page 33 of the mini catalog.  If you look at the samples on page 32 of the catalog you will see it was used with the Sending Cheer Bundle.  Now, I do not own either of the bundles on pages 32 or 33 but I loved the embossing folder, so I got just that.  What was I going to use it with?  I didn’t know but I love embossing folders, they add just a little something to add to the backgrounds of your cards or they can even be the focal point to your cards.  I could easily see this embossing folder be used on the whole front of your Christmas cards.

The tree image on this card is from the Merriest Trees Bundle found on page 12 of the mini catalog.  Now as you are looking through the catalog or even at the products you have in your craft room would you think to combine these two products together?  That is exactly what I call perfect pairing.

When I saw the embossing folder with the sentiment Christmas Tree Tidings I knew I wanted to add a tree to the side of the sentiment; it was the perfect placement and the Merriest Trees had the perfect tree for just that.  Did you notice that the dies have 5 different sized trees that you can die cut from one stamped tree?  So no matter the size tree you are looking for this bundle has the perfect size you need for your card fronts or insides.

Combine products you have on hand that coordinate and add in a new product to expand your stamping collection and possibilities.  With perfect pairing you have expanded the possibilities of your card making.   I encourage you to go into your stamp supplies and take a look at what you can pair together; I’m sure you’ll find an array of possibilities.

What colors am I using?

This might seem like a weird color combination but I like the bright greens combined and I really think it made the sentiment pop on the embossed piece.   The embossed piece is Granny Apple Green and the tree was stamped with Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce.  I consider both of these greens a bright green and I don’t know about you but I like them together.    The Adhesive-backed Sequins were added to the tree for the ornaments.
