Red Hot Stampers Challenge

Sunday, February 5, 2012

Today is the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge. Here is the challenge for this week:

When I looked at this sketch I could have went with the new Heart Embosslit folder and made a quick and easy Valentine card. I decided I wanted a little more elegant card and as usual black and Very Vanilla came to mind. Here is my take on the sketch:

I attached the scalloped punched strip of Very Vanilla card stock to the piece of Black card stock and then ran it thru the Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder. This makes a very elegant background piece. Next run the 1/8″ taffeta Ribbon around this piece, tie a bow and attach it using a mini glue dot. Place a piece of Very Vanilla card stock in the Beautiful Wings embosslit and run it thru the Big Shot. Attach the butterflies to the card using a mini glue dot and attach the pearl jewels on each butterfly body. There you have it a quick and easy elegant card for a wedding, birthday, or any special occasion.

Now head on over to the Red Hot Stamper blog and see what other great cards where done using this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by,
Glenda
