RHSSC#9 – Beware of the Sparkle!

Sunday, November 6, 2011

It is the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge RHSSC#9 today and Yes, more Silver Glimmer Paper. What can I say I really LOVE this stuff and it just makes every card so elegant and pretty.

Here is the sketch for this week:

Here is my take on the sketch:

I love the glimmer and shine of this card. I used the Comfort & Joy stamp set (#124175 $15.95 wood or #120753 $12.95 clear)for this card and embossed it using Night of Navy Craft ink and Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

Here is a side view:

Can you see the shimmer of the iridescent ice embossing powder? The card stock color I used was Not Quite Navy and the ribbon is the Not Quite Navy taffeta ribbon. To create the Silver Glimmer corners I used the 1″ square punch and punched 2 of them out of the Silver Glimmer paper and then cut each square in 1/2 on an angle. Perfect corners all the same size.

Now head on over to the Red Hot Stampers Blog to see the other takes on this sketch. We would love it if you left a comment on the blog and in your comment add a link to your take on the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by,
Glenda
