This is the last week of Sale-a-bration and I wanted to showcase the Free Softly Sophisticated Bundle this week. I’m starting off the week with these clean and simple handmade cards with the stamp set and the coordinating embossing folder. I’ve been showcasing this embossing folder with the Free Sale-a-bration Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, but now I’m showcasing the stamp set as well. This Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder was a favorite of mine and I’m going to hate to see it go. Let’s take a closer look at each of these clean and simple handmade cards:
First up is this Flirty Flamingo embossed background piece and Basic White cardstock. I used the Scalloped Contour Dies for the center focal point on the card front. I love these dies with the little scalloped edge. These dies can make a simple card just stunning and oh so pretty. I love the softness of the Flirty Flamingo ink and the Granny Apple Green together. To finish it off I added the Iridescent Pearls and a little Silver bow created from the Simply Elegant trim.
For this card I changed up the card base with Flirty Flamingo cardstock and embossed a piece of Basic White for the background piece. I also die cut the Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the Scalloped Contours Die and then added a piece of White where I stamped the flower and leaves using the Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green inks. Again, I used the Iridescent Pearls and Silver Simple Elegant Trim to accent my card.
This card was created the exact same way except I changed the Flirty Flamingo to Boho Blue cardstock and ink. The hello there sentiment is from the coordinating Softly Sophisticated stamp set.
Which card(s) do you prefer the Basic White cardstock with the Flirty Flamingo embossed piece or the colored card base with the Basic White embossed piece? Myself I’m more drawn to the Basic White embossed piece on the front, to me it just looks cleaner and prettier.
