Saturday Sketch – Christmas Gleaming Bundle

It's Saturday Sketch challenge and this week I used the sketch from Cas(e) this sketch. I used the Christmas Gleaming Bundle and the Hammered Metal embossing folder. I think it turned out pretty darn cute. #stampinup #thestampcamp #christmas #sketchchallenge

It’s Saturday Sketch Challenge and today’s Sketch is from Cas(e) This Sketch CTS#402.  I used the Christmas Gleaming Bundle to create my take on the sketch and the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder to give it the inlaid technique.  If you have never done the inlaid technique you should give it a try.  It is super simple to do; just glue everything in place and then place the whole piece of card stock inside the embossing folder and run it through your Cut & Emboss Machine.

I really love the Night of Navy with the Gold Foil and Very Vanilla card stock.

Here is the sketch:

When I first looked at the sketch I wasn’t too keen on it with the diagonal strips and sentiment on an angle.  But, I decided I was up for the challenge and went into my craft room to see what I could come up with and I’m pretty happy with the results.

The ornament was embossed with Gold Embossing powder and then punched out with the coordinating ornament punch.  I popped it up in the corner and then added the Gold Bow with a mini glue dot.

The sentiment was stamped using Night of Navy ink and then hand cut out and popped up on an angle; following the diagonal lines of the strips of gold foil.
