My advice to you would be to grab a 3-ring binder and some page protectors and start printing my card sketches, in no time you’ll have an endless supply of sketches to keep your creativity flowing.

So, let’s look at my take on the sketch.  Simple stamping designs come from sketches which can be quick and simple or just a starting point to get your creativity flowing.  I chose the Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper to create my card.  All I did was add some of the printed paper to my card front and then added the little die cut image, also from the paper pack.

For the sentiment I pulled out my Trusty Tools stamp set; to get the Happy Father’s Day sentiment, you could also make this a birthday card.  I also added another die cut element to the sentiment piece.  Like I said, use the sketch to get you started and the finishing touches will start to flow.

For my second take on the sketch, I chose to tighten up my layering mats and have a larger border of the card base showing. The sketch is pretty much the same it is just tightened up, giving it a bit of a different look than the first card, even though I used the same sketch. Simple stamping designs begin with simple card sketches and that’s what I am hoping to share with you each week here at The Stamp Camp.
