Simply Sweet Lighter Than Air One Sheet Wonder Fun Fold Card

Would you like to learn how it use a whole 6 x 6 sheet of Designer Series Paper on one card with no waste? In today’s blog post I’m going to show you just that. I will be using the Lighter Than Air 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to create one super sweet fun fold card.  If you tuned in last night to my One Sheet Wonder class than you saw me create this card.  If not, you can find the video below in this blog post.  Every Thursday night at 8:00PM EST on my YouTube Channel I have a One Sheet Wonder class.

I chose the Hot Air Balloon Bundle and the coordinating Designer Series Paper so you could see just how pretty this paper is and to give you some ideas about how to use this paper before it is gone.  Yes, it is on the retired list.  The Hot Air Balloon bundle is in the new Annual Catalog, but it will no longer be bundled, which means if you purchase it now you will save 10%.

I also did this same fun fold using the retiring Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper, which you may already have on hand.  This paper pack is also on the retired list as is the coordinating Inked & Tiled Bundle.   Both cards were created the exact same way, all I did was change up the paper and the stamp sets used.

You could say that there are two one sheet wonder techniques on these fun fold cards as you will also use the piece you cut off from the card base and on the card front.  Each card might look a bit different based on the Designer Series Paper that you use and the coordinating cardstock colors.

When you open up the card you will see the piece you cut off the base extended out the side.  The inside piece of Basic White is slightly smaller than the designer paper so you can see the print all the way around.

Don’t forget to add the bling to your fun fold card.  For this Inked Botanicals card I used the Festive Pearls, which are also on the retired list.  For the Hot Air Balloon card I used the Iridescent Pearls, which are in the new Annual Catalog.  You will find the list of retiring items below the shopping list in this blog post.

My Customer Appreciation for March:

stamping special ribbon holders

My 3D printer has been buzzing getting ready for this months customer appreciation special.  Do you have a spot or a way of storing your ribbon and twine spools?  If not check out this combo ribbon/twine storage system.  My combo ribbon and twine holder will hold up to 7 spools of ribbon depending on the size of the spool and 4 spools of twine or thread.  This is perfect to sit on your desk and keep your spools in order and upright or place on a shelf.

Do you have the White Open Storage Cube from Stampin’ Up! with the Topper Storage?  If not you can check it out on page 124 of the annual catalog.  This is a cube that you can store ink pads, ribbon, adhesives, small embellishments and more.  I’ve taken my ribbon storage system and made them to fit inside the cube and with the topper storage you have the space on top to hold my ribbon storage system as well. (check out what I’m talking about in the photo below.). Yes the bottom ribbon storage system has the twine/thread spool holder inside; you will just need to slide it out of the cube to get at the spools when needed.
