Thursday night is One Sheet Wonder night and last night I showed how to use the Free Sale-a-bration Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper to create 6 All Occasion cards using the Free Sale-a-bration Heartfelt Hellos stamp set.
I wanted to show just how versatile the paper is and that it can be used for any occasion and doesn’t have to be strictly used for Valentine’s Day cards. Pairing this paper with the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set was a win as well because it has 6 different sentiments and the way I cut the designer series paper came out to 6 cards; perfect!
I also paired the paper with the coordinating Adoring Hearts Bundle for the die cut hearts and the flower image for the Easter card. This bundle is not a Sale-a-bration item, but it does coordinate with the paper, and you can find it in the mini catalog on page 18. I’ve been showcasing this bundle this week and have some more fun cards to share with you that are not Valentine’s cards.
Let’s Dive into Last Night’s One Sheet Wonder Cards:
First up was this quick and easy Enjoy your Day card. I’m showing you two cards as I created my sample cards before the live class and then the second card was created during the live class. If you use my layouts and use both sheets of this print from the pack you will also get 12 cards in the end, but one 12 X 12 piece of this designer series paper will get you 6 All-Occasion cards in a flash!
Would you have thought to create an Easter card with the paper? For this card I used the coordinating Adoring Hearts stamp set to stamp the flower image onto Basic White cardstock and then color it in with the Real Red and Old Olive Blends, I then hand cut it out. During last night’s class I used the Thick Basic White cardstock to create my card base, the Real Red base was my sample card. Which color do you prefer? I personally think I like it on the white base better than the red, to me it seems brighter.
The next sentiment from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set I chose was the, “Dad You’re the Best” sentiment and instead of Real Red I went with the Night of Navy cardstock and accent pieces. I also brought in the Gold Foil paper to coordinate with the gold hearts. The little heart dies are from the Adoring Hearts bundle. The gold pearls are from the Blooming Pearls pack, but on my sample before the class I used the gold pearls from the Festive Pearls pack; both work great with this card.
I’ve always loved Night of Navy with Basic White and mix in a little gold or silver and it’s a great color combination.
This sentiment could be used for an anniversary card or even for Mother’s Day, but since the stamp set already has a Mother’s Day sentiment I’m going with anniversary. This would also make a great card to send to one of your children if they are away at college or just live far from you. It’s a great way to say I’m thinking about you.
My sample card has the real red card base and during the live class I used the Flirty Flamingo for my card base. It’s hard to say which I like better here. Isn’t it funny how just by changing up a color for the base can change the whole look and feel to the card.
The little gold heart is part of the Adoring Hearts bundle, and I also used the Gold Foil to make the mat for the sentiment piece.
Here is the Mother’s Day sentiment from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set. This really is a great sentiment stamp set and it pairs so well with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch; I love it when I can use one punch and the whole sentiment stamp set like that.
The Real Red hearts on these cards were embossed and die cut using the Adoring Heart Hybrid Embossing Folder. This folder not only embosses but die cuts the heart shapes as well. I also used a solid die cut from the bundle as well.
The final card of the night is this super sweet and simple Hello card. This card can be used for lots of different reasons. I like to send Hello cards to new members who join my team.
