The Stampin’ Up! Let It Ride stamp set is on the retired list and will be gone for good soon!  Get your order placed today for this fun stamp set.  Do you have any family or friends who are equestrians?  This is a great stamp set for them or to have on hand to create cards for them.

I did a little light sponging on today’s card and used the Blends a bit.

I also did a bit of sponging around the edge of the Crumb Cake card stock and inside the circle.  The circle was created using the Stitched Shapes Dies.

The trees and the horses were stamped with the Early Espresso ink and then colored in with the Soft Suede Dark Blend and the Old Olive Blends for the trees and grass.  The sky was sponged with the Balmy Blue ink and the grass with Old Olive ink.

I found the sentiment interesting, “Live as if someone left the gate open”.  I’m really not sure what type of occasion card you would use that sentiment for but I thought it fit.  I like all the different sentiments in this stamp set.  It actually would make a great graduation card with the sentiments it has and maybe if the school mascot was the stallions or something it would be perfect.

Check back tomorrow as I have another Let it Ride card to share with you.  I will also be using this stamp set Live tomorrow night for my Tuesday’s Tips and Techniques.   The technique will be Faux Wood Burning; hmmm are you intrigued?

Love the card, I’ve used the stamp set several times for masculine cards, sorry to see it retire. Did you sponge the background before or after stamping? Looking forward to seeing your wood burning technique! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Patricia, I stamped the images first then sponged with the old olive and bashful blue inks. Then colored in with the blends. Enjoy!
