Stampin’ Up! Merry Minis

Wednesday, October 24, 2012

Today is the sketch challenge at the Paper Craft Crew blog.

Here is the sketch for this week:

Here is my take on the sketch:

When I was looking over this sketch I knew I wanted a greeting in the Framelit. The next question was which one. I came across my Greetings of the Season stamp set #128030 $15.95 or #128033 $11.95 and thought this would be perfect.

The Be Of Good Cheer DSP scraps where laying out on my table so I thought there are my two paper strips and color combination.

The little Gumball Green and Cherry Cobber balls on the one piece of DSP reminds me of ornaments so I then decided I would decorate my framelit with the Merry Minis stamp set #127916 $14.95 or #127919 $11.95. I stamped the 3 little ornaments using the Cherry Cobber and Gumball Green ink and punched them out with the coordinating punch pack Merry Minis #126882 $16.95.

Using the Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine I hung the ornaments on the framelit. The little bows were a trick to tie but they came out perfect.

Here is a close up of the ornaments on the framelit:

I decided I didn’t need the bow with button as shown on the sketch as I thought it would take away from my framelit and ornaments. I think it looks pretty cute without it.

The Gumball Green was sent thru the Big Shot in the Polka Dots impressions folder. This was layered onto Very Vanilla and the card base is Cherry Cobbler.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
