Stampin’ Up! Scallop Square Die

Monday, January 24, 2011

Today is my Big Shot club and one of the dies featured today is the Stampin’ Up! Scallop Square Die.  This is an excellent die to use with fabric as you can make those super cool square quilted purses, baby blankets, pin cushions and even aprons.  What I love about using this die with fabric is you do not have to cut your fabric in squares just cut it into strips and fold it back and forth over the Square die and then run it thru your Big Shot.  You will end up with 8 Scallop Squares all nicely cut with the crank of your Big Shot.  That’s right you can cut up to 8 layers of fabric at 1 time.

Besides fabric you can use other products with your Big Shot and the Scallop Square die like the wood sheets Stampin’ Up! sells, fun foam, felt and of course card stock.  For the projects in the Big Shot club for today I decided to stick with Valentine theme.  This is the Gift card holder that the club members will be making today using the Scallop Square die.  I also did a Video Tutorial on this technique and you can view that Here http://thestampcamp.com/08/11/scallop-square-gift-card-holder-video/.

Here is a little card for the inside where you would slip in your gift card.
