When I saw this month’s kit I knew right away I was going to make a card for my niece. If you are a blog follower of mine; then you are aware that my niece has Sarcoma Cancer and she is currently undergoing clinical trials to see if they can stop the cancer growth in her lungs. Sierra is 28 years old and was teaching when she found out. Sierra is a very strong positive person and it sure shows in everyone she meets. Instead of staying home saying whoa is me; she gets out and exercises, participates in 5K to help raise money for Sarcoma research, is very involved in her church and is strong in her faith. We all need such a positive attitude as she has. Sarcoma cancer color is yellow and Sierra loves Sunflowers so when I saw this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit I knew right away I was going to create a card for her with it. Sierra just graduated with a Master in Education, so today’s Congrats card is her card for congratulating her on her achievement all while going through chemo.
I did use a different stamp set for the sentiment on Sierra’s card as congrats wasn’t part of the stamp set in the kit.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a prettier kit then this month’s kit. Plus, it had a bonus in this month’s kit. I’m not sure what more I can say to sell you on these paper pumpkin kits?
These kits also make a great gift for someone. I sent Sierra a 3 month subscription when she was going through Chemo. It was something to do while she sat all day getting her treatments. Plus, she could make them all thank you cards to send out to those who sent her gifts or words of encouragement.
Yes, not ever kit is cards, like the September kit is Halloween treat boxes; but I let me subscribers know before they receive their box so they can go into their subscription and put it on hold for a month or so if they do not want to receive the kit.
