Two Challenges One Card

Wednesday, January 12, 2011

Well I am off this morning to Leadership Convention in Nashville, TN.  I am going with Christi who is in my downline.  This is Christi’s first Leadership Convention and I know she is going to Love It!  I can’t wait to get there and see all the demonstrators and all the swapping, the tote bag, the logo merchandise, the card samples, the Make & Takes, the freebies and the class ideas and information.  All this is packed into 2 days!  We will be going from morning until night, I’m soooo excited!  Keep checking the blog daily for all the upcoming events and excitement!

When I return I am having my Occasions Mini Open House on Thursday, January 20.  If you are in the area stop by anytime between 10AM – 7PM and check out all the sweet new products.  I will have lots of displays, demonstrations, make & takes, class sign-ups, ordering specials, door prize drawings and as always some great snacks!

For today’s sample I went with the color challenge from Splitcoast and the sketch challenge from Techno Stamper.  Let me tell you this sketch and the color challenge were really quite a challenge for me.  The card is cute but it just lacks something.

The Color Challenge (CC305) from splitcoast was:  Cherry Cobbler, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo with any neutral.  Well those 3 colors threw me for a loop but I managed.  The sketch layout also gave me a challenge but it did turn out kind of cute but seems to be lacking a sentiment I think or something.

Recipe:
CS:  Melon Mambo, Cherry Cobbler, Pretty in Pink, Love Patterns DSP
SS:  None
Inks:  None
Accessories:  heart punch, Pretty in Pink satin ribbon, 3/4″ circle punch, scallop edge punch, dotted Impressions folder, Big Shot

Well it looks like I did another challenge and didn’t even know it.  No ink or Stamp Set challenge. 🙂

Have a Great Day!
Glenda
