We have started kidney dialysis!

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Well I have spent the last 2 nights with my Mom at the hospital.? On Sunday night she had a fantastic night?s sleep thanks to the medicine the Neurologist put her on.? The only problem was she slept all day yesterday because of the wonderful medicine and the doctor didn?t prescribe it for Monday night.? I know she really needed her rest I was just worried as to what kind of night we would have last night.? She did sleep Okay last night, but not as nice as when she had the medicine.? I talked to the Neurologist again today and he is going to give it to her tonight, so she should sleep very well again tonight.?

She did have a port put in today and has begun kidney dialysis.? She is so swollen and hardly any fluids are coming out, she was very uncomfortable today with all the fluid and her kidneys had really gotten too bad, so she had her first round of dialysis today.

We are not sure yet how long she will remain in the hospital, tomorrow will be 3 weeks that she has been there.? My sister is going to be spending the night with her tonight and I’m so hoping tomorrow morning when I go up she will feel like a new women, with a great night?s sleep and 1 dialysis under her belt I’m so praying we are now on the upswing!

Thanks again for your continued prayers and words of encouragement.?
