Beginner card stamping ideas using sketches is a great way to start out stamping, if this is all new to you. If not you will find card sketches help to get your mojo back or if you are in need of a quick and easy card, sketches can come in handy.
This is a new series that I have started on Wednesday’s. Every Wednesday I’ll post a new sketch that you can download and print and keep in your craft room for times when you need a quick sample to look at or just need some creative motivation. My suggestion to you would be to purchase a 3-ring binder and some page protectors, so you can print out the sketches and start your very own sketch book.
If you missed the first two sketches you can find Sketch #1 HERE and Sketch #2 HERE.
I created this card for a swap that I am participating in using the new Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. This is a gorgeous paper pack and I’m pretty sure I’ll be featuring it in an upcoming Stamp Camp at Home Card Club Kit. The card base is Misty Moonlight with the accent Fresh Freesia color and a strip of the Floral Impressions paper.
The sentiment is from the coordinating Impressions Abloom bundle, which I punched out of the cardstock using the To the Point Label Punch. Just an FYI this punch is currently sold out, but is expected to be back in stock the week of June 2nd.
Looking at this beginner card stamping ideas card sketch you can easily create this card as shown, with a strip of cardstock and designer series paper down the front and another piece of cardstock across the top portion with the sentiment centered. This makes a beautiful card, but you can also turn your card sketch into a fun fold card as I did for this one.
When the card is closed it gives you the look of the sketch, but when you open it up you see it is a fun fold card. This card is really easy to assemble, but looks a bit more technical than the sketch. No worries, I have the PDF file for this card, so you can download that as well.

Mix and Match your colors from the designer series paper to create a variety of cards, all using the same layout.
Create one flat like the sketch and the other make it a fun fold card. Let card sketches be your starting point and let your creativity expand from there.
