slimline cards
I’ve been featuring these different types of slimline cards all week long on my blog.  If you missed the other post make sure to check them out.    I’ve created mini cards with a One Sheet Wonder technique,  a gift card/money holder slimline card, a peekaboo trifold slimline card and a vertical slimline card.
Today’s slimline card is exactly cut to the same size as yesterday’s vertical card; which was 7″ X 8 1/2″ scored at 3 1/2″.  This size card fits perfectly in the Stampin’ Up! slimline envelopes sold on page 137 in the annual catalog.
slimline cards and envelopes
For today’s slimline cards and envelopes I went with the Soft Succulent envelope to coordinate beautifully with the card base.   I also added a strip of the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper to the flap on the envelope.  This is mailable as long as you adhere your designer paper to the flap really well.  All you do is add your adhesive to the flap and place your designer paper over the top; then take your scissors and trim around the flap of the envelope.  This is a beautiful way to coordinate your envelopes with your cards.
These Reds and Greens are beautiful together don’t you think?  Plus, that pop of Distressed Gold paper just makes this card feel so elegant and pretty.  The Distressed Gold paper is not order-able at this time; it is expected to be back into the warehouse around November 7.
The festive Pearls add just the right amount of bling to the card front.  You could use the red or gold the choice is yours; I went with the Gold on today’s card.  The Festive Pearls are also on the not order-able list and they are expected to be back into the warehouse around November 21.

Thanks Cherie, I do love the prints in this designer series paper pack; I don’t think you can create a card that isn’t beautiful with this pack.
