Create 4 Elegant Holiday Cards with One Sheet Wonder Card Techniques

One Sheet Wonder Cards

Last night in my One Sheet Wonder Class, I shared how you can create four elegant holiday cards using just one sheet of the stunning Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.

This paper pack is absolutely gorgeous! The gold foiling accents and the mix of reds, greens, blues, and pink poinsettias and florals make each design truly shine. Every card came together beautifully and captures that timeless Christmas charm.

To enhance the designs, I brought in a few coordinating products from the Traditions of Christmas Suite:

  • Christmas Greenery Bundle
  • Traditional Labels Bundle
  • Traditional Sparkling Sequins

I also used my new favorite dies — the Branching Out Dies — to create elegant frames for my floral bouquet focal points. These dies add such a lovely touch of dimension and sophistication to each card.

Now Let’s Take a Look at Each of These One Sheet Wonder Card Techniques:

Card #1 – Corner Flip-Up Card

Our first One Sheet Wonder design is the Corner Flip-Up Card, and it showcases this beautiful Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper perfectly!

With this technique, you’ll get to feature both sides of the paper — one on the outside of the card and the other revealed when you flip open the corner. It’s a simple but striking way to highlight the gorgeous prints and gold foiling in this paper pack.

To decorate the card front, I used the Branching Out Dies to create layered mats in Real Red and Basic White, giving a clean and elegant framed look. For the focal point, I die-cut a floral bouquet using the coordinating Christmas Greenery Dies.

The finishing touch? Just a few Traditional Sparkling Sequins — the perfect bit of shimmer to make the card shine!

When the card is fully opened, you’ll find another set of Branching Out Die-cuts on the inside. These are slightly larger than the ones on the front, giving you ample space to stamp or write your personal message.

I also used the dies to cut a floral bouquet directly from the side edge of the printed Designer Series Paper — a great way to use up those side pieces.  To accent the upper left-hand corner, I stamped the floral bouquet image from the Christmas Greenery Bundle using Memento Black Ink, then added color with Real Red and Old Olive inks for the flowers and leaves. Finally, I added a bit of gold sparkle by placing a few Traditional Sparkling Sequins around the stamped flowers — a subtle, elegant highlight that ties the whole design together.

Card #2 – Flip-Up Flip-Open Fun Fold Card

The second design in this One Sheet Wonder set is the Flip-Up Flip-Open Fun Fold Card — a playful and elegant fold that adds a touch of surprise when opened!

This design could easily be a full One Sheet Wonder card all on its own if you chose to bring the Designer Series Paper onto both the inside flip-up panel and the interior panels. It would be absolutely stunning — though it might get a bit heavy with all that beautiful paper layered in.

For my version, I wanted to let the paper shine, so I kept the front of the card simple and classic. I added just a couple of Traditional Labels die-cuts for the sentiment, along with a few Traditional Sparkling Sequins for that perfect touch of festive sparkle.

The result is an elegant, balanced card design that highlights the Traditions of Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper while keeping the overall look light and refined.

When you flip up the card front, you’ll reveal two interior panels featuring the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper — in this case, the plaid backside of the floral print. This adds a charming contrast and gives just a peek of pattern without overwhelming the elegant simplicity of the front.

When you fully open the card, you’ll see two more Branching Out die-cut pieces, large enough for stamping or writing your sentiment. To decorate the inside, I stamped the floral bouquet in the bottom corner using Memento Black Ink, and colored the flowers and leaves with Real Red and Old Olive inks — tying the inside beautifully to the card front.

Card #3 – Quick and Easy Floral Card

The third card in this One Sheet Wonder set is a quick and easy design that you can create over and over again — perfect for batch making holiday cards!

To start, I attached the floral-printed side of the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper to a Real Red cardstock base. Then, I added a strip of the reverse plaid side across the center to create contrast and visual interest.

For the focal point, I layered a couple of Branching Out die-cuts in Real Red and Basic White, then added another floral bouquet die-cut directly from the Designer Series Paper. The finishing touch was a few Traditional Sparkling Sequins to bring just the right amount of shimmer and holiday sparkle.

This card is simple, elegant, and easy to reproduce, making it ideal for creating multiple cards quickly while still showcasing the beauty of the Designer Series Paper.

Card #4 – Simplicity at Its Finest

The fourth card in this One Sheet Wonder set proves that simplicity can be stunning. This is another example of how you can create quick and easy Christmas cards while letting the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper do most of the work.

For this card, I used the plaid side of the paper on the card front instead of the floral print. The rest of the design follows the same elegant formula: Branching Out die-cut mats, a floral bouquet die-cut, and a few Traditional Sparkling Sequins for festive bling.

The result is a classic, beautiful card that comes together quickly — perfect for last-minute holiday crafting or batch making cards to share with friends and family.
