Create The Perfect Graduation Fun Fold Cards For Your Graduates

graduation fun fold cards

Graduation days are just around the corner, and I have the perfect graduation fun fold cards for you to create for the grads in your life. These cards are simply elegant and easy to make with the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper.  That’s right who would have thought to use that paper pack on graduation cards?  I love that gold foil script on this paper, and I thought it was so fitting with my Cap & Gown stamp set.

I’m not sure what this fun fold card technique is called so I’ll just call it the cut away.  What you do is simply cut out the middle section on your card front however wide you want to make it.  Then you use that cut out section on the vertical panel to attach the top of your card to the bottom of your card.  It’s quite simple to make and just a different way of designing your cards.  I chose this layout because I thought it would be perfect for my graduation gown and the graduation hat.  Plus, I really think the grads enjoy seeing some different graduation fun fold cards; it makes them unique and special.

Do you see my grad has his honors ropes?  This is the faux leather trim; I just cut strips and glued them down the front of his rope.  This trim has a gold fleck to it, so it went perfectly with the paper.

To finish off the card I chose the Blooming Pearls large and small gold pearls to accent his cap and the sentiment piece.  The sentiment is part of the Cap & Gown stamp set and I die cut it out using the Nested Essentials dies.

I did use the Very Vanilla Thick cardstock for my card base, which is sold out, but you can still get the thinner Very Vanilla cardstock and that will be in the new annual catalog only the thick will no longer be available.

The accent pieces under the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Paper is the Pebbled Path cardstock as is the ink I used to stamp the sentiment.
